0“We employ the mind to rule, the body to serve.”
Sallust
The mind rules our body, how does your mind rule you? Pull a card from your favorite deck and ask the following question “How does my mind rule/influence me” .
I pulled The Fool. My mind likes to take risks and I will often jumo without looking. I think in an optimistic way hoping that everything will come out fine.

0Here is a quote for you all
“A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.”
Mark Twain
Get your deck out and ask “What about me do I not approve?”
I pulled the 4 of Swords from the Legacy of the Divine Tarot. I like the naps I take, but really don’t approve of them lol
Quote of the day reading 11/1/2010
1
It is Monday November 1st 2010 and todays quote is,
“Happiness depends upon ourselves”.
Aristotle
Let’s ask the tarot today, “What can I do to make myself happy today?” I have the day off today from my job and I figured I should do something to make me happy.
I pulled two cards from my Rider Waite Smith deck and got the 2 of cups and The Empress.
The Empress to me suggests that I take time for creative pursuits. I do plan on working on my book more today. That fits into creative works. I also look at The Empress and think to myself, sit on the coach and pig out. She looks very comfortable on her cushy seat. Doing the same could make me happy.
The 2 of Cups tells me to reach out to someone and maybe hang out, chat on the phone, something along those lines.
Give it a try; ask the tarot what should you do to make yourself happy today? Let me know what you get.

Quote of the day reading 10-29-10
0Happy freaky Friday everyone. Here is our quote of the day.
A house divided against itself cannot stand.
~ Abraham Lincoln
Question to ask, What is causing division in your life?
From the Mythic Tarot – King of Cups
From the Deviant Moon Tarot – Strength
I feel that the King of Cups is referring to my nature of wanting to help and heal others. Having compassion for others in situations like my own and attempting to help. The Strength card in the Deviant Moon to me does not keep with “tradition” of other strength cards. In other decks they try and keep the mouth of the beat closed with gentleness. This guy is forcing open the mouth and is being rough. The sense is one of set in a circus so this is an act. I can’t get over he is possibly hurting this creature. His mouth is split open almost “divided”, could the things I say or action I make cause the division in my life? Or is it the external world that tries to control what I say or do that causes division? Food for thought.
What does the tarot have to say about this for you? Let me know.
Until next time,

Quote of the day reading 10/28/10
1Good morning tarot monsters! Todays quote comes from a Greek who is almost as famous as me, he said
“All the gold which is under or upon the earth is not enough to give in exchange for virtue.”
Plato
We will ask tarot: What about me is of highest value (better than gold)?
From the Mythic Tarot I pulled the 6 of Wands
From the Deviant Moon Tarot I pulled the Page of Cups.
The 6 of wands seems clear, that what makes me valuable is my ability to go and get what I want. This is a card of accomplishment. Often when I want to do something, really want to get it done I can push myself and do it. I normally don’t let myself down, unless I really don’t care for what I am going after.
The Page of cups, what also makes me of value is my “innocence”, ahahaha yea ok, my mind is always in the gutter. Ok, my intentions and actions to others are normally are of the innocent kind, I don’t wish harm on others intentional unless I am hexing them. I often associate myself with the Page of Cups, for his gestures of gifts he gives others. I often gift things to others, at random moments. Everyone always comments on how nice, friendly and happy I am, that’s the Page of Cups and that’s me.

0Good morning Tarot lovers, it is Wednesday October 27th 2010 and here is your quote of the day.
“To some people, the impossible is impossible.”
~ Elizabeth Asquith Bibesco
The question we will be asking tarot is “What attitudes limit my potential?”
From the Mythic Tarot I pulled the Ace of Wands
From the Deviant Moon Tarot I pulled The High Priestess.
The Ace of wands is a good card; it is raw energy and potential. With the ace of wands you gain a vision for creation, the beginning point of something. How can this be bad? If we always stay in a Ace of Wands state then we never move on, we stay in a state of vision without action to bring the idea into manifestation. I don’t think that’s me, normally if I have an idea or vision about something I jump quickly and manifest it. The figure in this card is Zeus and he is looking to the right facing The High Priestess. The High Priestess has her has crossed and has her back turned to the Ace of Wands. On an outer level this makes me think of this in terms of asking for permission, Ace of Wands asking The High Priestess about his ideas, telling her about his visions and getting rejected or a big “NO” in response. It is the lack of support from others, or maybe fearing lack of support. The High Priestess is a passive energy, and what can get in the way of the fire energy of the Ace of Wands than a Major arcana card that is passive and quiet? My tendency to keep quiet or being passive can limit my potential,
This was a very interesting reading, please share yours with me.

Quote of the day reading – 10/26/2010
2Hello Tarot peeps! Today is October 26th 2010 and here is the quote of the day reading.
“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
Carl Jung
The direction I want to take with this quote is with the concept of reality, when we look outside for what is real we find a false reality. When we look inside ourselves we find what reality is actually about. Reality then by this nature is subjective to the individual.
I ask the tarot
What is it I think reality is? & what is the actual reality?
I pulled the 8 of Pentacles from the Mythic Tarot and the 4 of Wands from the Deviant Moon Tarot.
What does it mean when I ask “what I think is reality”? I am asking what is it I perceive to be real in the world, reality, the “truth” to life. I pulled the 8 of Pentacles. The man is working hard creating these coins; it looks like it is his job, something repetitive, your duty to do. Pentacles are the Earth element, the physical and we would normally think that reality is the physical world. This card suggests that I think reality is a job like, repetitive and even possibly boring. Good things can come from work, but is it worth it?
What is actual reality? The 4 of wands suggests something different, reality is subjective to our personal connections with others, our relationships and foundations we build. The two figures in this card have their hands are bond; this depicts handfasting, married & union. The 4 of wands is seen as our perfect idea of what a happy home would look like. Is reality still actual an idea? Is it still just a dream?
It is interesting to mention that this fits into something I was talking to someone about the other day, they told me of a saying “never become too busy making a living you forget make a life” which would be represented in these two cards. 8 of Pentacles is busy working trying to make a living, but the 4 of wands is about actually living and making a life.
My philosophy has always been simple; I work to live not live to work.
What does the tarot have to say about this issue in your life? Leave me a comment

Quote of the day reading – 10/25/2010
2Good morning, it is October 25th 2010 and here is our quote of the day.
“For every man there exists a bait which he cannot resist swallowing.”
Today’s question based on this quote is.
What is your weakness and how does it hurt you?
From the Mythic Tarot I pulled the 4 of Cups
From the Deviant moon Tarot I pulled The Fool
What does this say about my weakness? How does it hurt me?
The 4 of cups is about discontent, doubt and boredom. In center is Psyche and by her side are her two sisters who wispier doubt into her ears. There is no good reason to feel doubtful or to question the situation, everything is fine on the outside, but on the inside there is discontent. The sisters represent our shadow side. As my personal weakness I can associate the doubt aspect. The normal meanings of the 4 of cups such as apathy, almost laziness connects more with me. Wanting to take action or do something but being apathetic to the situation lazy hinders me.
The Fool in the Deviant Moon Tarot looks plain out crazy and I feel that this is the affect from the 4 of cups. If you remain in a state of apathy and disconnection you will go nuts. The sense will be chaotic like the one in this card.
What does the tarot have to say about your weakness and how it hurts you? Please share with me your reading on this question.

2Happy Friday my tarot thugs! I love Fridays so much! Today’s quote comes from Maya Angelou.
“I believe that every person is born with talent.”
Question based on this quote “what am I talented at?”
From the Rider Waite Smith deck I pulled the King of Pentacles.
From the Deviant Moon Tarot I pulled Justice.
Looking at the King of Pentacles as a talent of mine makes me laugh, because it seems to be opposite of what the truth. I often see the King of pentacles as the money maker, wealthy and got tons of cash to stash. I am not that, however the King of Pentacles is a good business man, running business runs in the family, I might have a talent at business and often felt I am good in business. This is a King to so he is in charge and I love being in charge!
Justice makes more sense; Justice is about seeing both sides to a story. I always see both sides to a story or issue and understand them both equally before I decide that I agree with.
Together the King of Pentacles and Justice gives me the sense of “good console”, giving good advice. The King of Pentacles shares practical info that works or is more grounded, Justice offers fair advice and understanding of both sides.
All in all this make sense for me.
What does the tarot have to say about your talented at? Share with me your reading.

Quote of the day reading – 10-21-10
0Good morning tarot freaks! It is Thursday October 21st 2010 and here is your daily quote reading.
Today’s quote comes from Mother Teresa, who said,
“It is a kingly act to assist the fallen.”
The question we will ask tarot is, “How can I help someone else today”.
From my Rider Waite Smith deck I pulled, Queen of Swords
From my Deviant Moon Tarot I pulled, Queen of Wands
I pulled two queen cards for this question; Queens deal with development. The Queen of Swords is a no bull type of woman. She cuts through crap, tells it like it is straight up. She can be cold in her approach, ask her “how does this outfit make me look” and she will reply with “You look like a whore”, this might make your cry or angry or both. However we have the Queen of Wands next to the Queen of Swords which to me adds warmth to this mix. Since the Queen of Wands is more optimistic, when asked the same question “how does this outfit make me look” she would say “You look like you’re ready for a good time!” Add the two queens together and I think you get very good constructive criticism, Queen of Swords tells the truth but mixed with the Queen of Wands; she won’t leave you to cry but help you feel good and confident.
What can I do today then? Well simply put, I can help someone today by being honest and truthful if I see someone today who seems to be sad or down, to help build self-esteem and confidence. A simple “you’re looking really good today” would work.
Please share with me you’re reading on this question, I would love to see what you get.
Until next time,
Live every day the tarot way!
