Tarot M&M – 5 of Pentacles
0Tarot M&M – Tarot in Ten Minutes – 5 of Pentacles
Hardship, unpleasant situation(s), trouble meeting your needs, lacking resources, needing help/assistance, separation, forced isolation, rejection, financial problems, spiritual void.
Symbols
Church - The church in the background represents the “establishment” or society as a whole. The church is mean to be a place of safety and security. It provides spiritual and material aid.
Bell around the man’s neck – The bell indicates this man has leprosy. He is rejected by society because of his condition. The bell warns others when he is around.
Meaning and Message
Because the church represents society and all types of establishments and the man has leprosy, he is left outside (excluded). He is separated and isolated, the only companion he has is a woman (his wife?). This brings us the meaning of feeling rejected by other and being forced into isolation.
Fives bring us challenges, Pentacles represent the material so this indicates material/financial hardships and difficulties.
The is a spiritual void within this card. This card when not indicating material poverty it represents spiritual poverty. Feeling spiritually lost, or disconnected from the divine.
Shadow/Deeper Meaning
Your arrogance and or pride keeps you from getting help. Instead of seeking a solution you seek revenge for your current disposition.
Greece : Stay or Leave the EuroZone
0The Greek elections are Sunday June 17th and the results will determine if the Greeks want to stay in the EuroZone (keeping the Euro currency) or leave and return to printing their own currency the Drachma. The outcome will have huge impacts on the Greek economy and the world economy, as many point out, if Greece leaves the Euro it will have huge ripple effects on other European countries as well as the United States. The issue is deep and complex so I wont go into more detail. However I am going to use the tarot to see what we can gather as an outcome this sunday.
I am using a Yes/No method of answering the main question of ‘Will the Greeks leave the EuroZone?”.
Odd numbered and court cards are “NO” and even/Majors are “Yes”. As we see here we have 4 Odd cards and 1 even card. The answer leans heavily to NO, the Greeks will vote to stay in the EuroZone. By looking at these cards, the 5 of Cups and 5 of Pentacles shows that the Greek people worry about the negative possibilities of leaving the Euro, which by these cards would indicate loss, regret, poverty, misfortune and illness. While the Knights are surrounding the 5 of Pentacles, they may feel they are being influenced on an emotional level to react impulsively, to vote No.

Looking deeper into the issue, I asked “What do the Greek people want in terms of this economic crisis? I pulled the 4 of Cups, to me in the situation, they are looking for another option. However I feel that they want someone else to offer the issue, magically out of the air much like how the cup appears out of the clouds. The Greek people are too apathetic to fix it themselves, they probably feel that someone else should fix it or at least come up with an idea.
The outcome.
The Greeks voted and the New Democracy party won the majority of the votes. This party wants to remain within the Eurozone and keep the Euro currency. My prediction was correct.

Judgement – The Last Crisis
0Judgment (Tarot Illuminati)
Langauges allow us to express ourselves. I love to learn new languages, even if it just a few words, especially the bad ones! Tarot is a language, not a verbal one like English but a pictorial language which uses symbols to express meanings. The cards themselves have titles as with the Major Arcana. However when we translate these titles into other languages we might at times come to new understandings to the cards. Some may be new or they may just reinforce the cards already present meaning.
A while ago I made a video on YouTube where I presented the Greek titles of the Major Arcana. When I came to the Judgment card I was intrigued by the Greek word for Judgment which is the same word for another word. You, see in Greek (and other languages) one word can have many meanings, depending on its context. In this case the word “Judgment” in Greek is κρίση (krísi). κρίση also is a word which is also used for “crisis”. Judgement and Crisis are both the same word in Greek. This made me wonder why this was the case.
The other day when I was looking at the cover of a Greek newspaper there was an article from the BBC on what The ancient Greeks would do with the Greek economic crisis. Again I saw the word κρίση and remembered it also means Judgment. I asked my uncle, why did κρίση both mean Judgement and Crisis. He told me that it is in the time of crisis that judgment(s) need to be made. They go together. This is a perfect example of how language expresses different ideas and views through the use of the words.
We can take this and then apply it to the Judgement card and would easily call it “The Crisis” card. But what does crisis mean? We normally see crisis as a bad thing, something bad is happening, things are going crazy. That would be the case as with a political view on the word, it representing an unstable situation. However the underlining meaning of the word is that crisis is a crucial or decisive point or situation; a turning point. Psychologically, crisis is a traumatic or stressful change in a person’s life. In a drama, crisis is a point at which a conflict reaches a peak before being resolved.
Taking this let us apply it to the Judgment in Tarot. I can see a connection between the concepts of crisis with the cards meaning of “hearing the call”, or “answering a call”. In many of the depicts of Judgment we have an angel blaring a horn as the dead awaken, hearing the horn. This often means that you are being called to do something, something more important or of great meaning. Judgment also indicates changes, coming to a crossroads in your life. This experience is not always a pleasant one. Much like how I described the word crisis in psychological terms as being a traumatic or stressful change, Judgment can manifest as a stressful event, a stressful choice or change. Judgment is the point where conflict reaches its peak before being resolved. The resolution of the conflict is then depicted with The World which shows completion and accomplishment.
As we have seen, language can be a powerful tool for how we view the meanings of the cards.
